Ian Stuart's collections are full of passion & have a sense of the theatre about them which comes from Ians passion for fashion, art, music and theatre. Ian has been named as UK Bridal Designer of the year for 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007!
Ian specialised in bridal & evening wear design as astudent and won numerous student awards in this field. Ian them began his commercial training and where better to train than at Bellville Sassoon, one of London's finest couture houses. Bellville Sassoon specialise in creating gowns for socialites and members of the Royal family. This training was invaluable as it gave Ian the knowledge of cut, proportion, balance and importantly wearability within design.
With this acquired skill & knowledge, Ian went on to create bi-annual collections for leading London bridal and evening wear manufacturers, before moving to New York to further his career. In New York Ian created bridal wear labels which were sold throughout the world.
Having acquired more than a decade of knowledge and experience, Ian decided it was time to launch his own bridal wear brand using his passion for cutting edge design. The Collection Designed by Ian Stuart LTD based in London, was an instant success and attracted worldwide publicity.
