Maternity wedding dress
Pregnant Mrs2Be will have completely different considerations when choosing a wedding dress. But the one consideration that will be absolutely no different is the desire to look beautiful on your big day!
However, it is a fact that you will not have the same amount of choice for your dress. Maternity wedding dresses are a specialist area and our advice would be to seek out a specialist dress designer.
Women all feel very different about being pregnant and no one pregnancy is the same as another. Some women truly blossom while others spend the majority of the pregnancy feeling and looking less than radiant (I was one of those!). These are all important considerations when choosing the perfect wedding dress.
Do you want to have the tops of your arms covered? If so, a capped sleeve dress, or full sleeved dress might be better for you. Alternatively, you could wear a strapless wedding dress, but with a bolero jacket.
There is no getting away from the fact that the main consideration though is how you feel about your bump. Some women love to show their bump off in its full glory and so a tightly fitted dress would be just fine for them, while others may not feel so comfortable and would prefer an a-lined gown that would gently skim over the baby.
Remember that you will be on your feet for a large part of the day, and you will feel the heat more as a pregnant lady so be sure to choose a dress that you are going to be comfortable in.
In terms of getting the fitting of the dress right, then of course this is more difficult for you pregnant ladies than for those who are not pregnant and so be sure to visit your wedding dress supplier early on so that they can advise you properly.
Whatever style of your dress a maternity wedding gown will make you look beautiful on your big day – so enjoy it!
